1000 Billeder i Sekundet
Troels Abrahamsen

1000 Billeder i Sekundet explores how we create meaning from chaos and form coherence from disconnected sensory impressions. The album's title points in two directions: toward the extreme media reality we inhabit, and toward our fundamental human condition of making sense of a constant bombardment of impressions.

Written between 2015 and 2024, these ten songs emerged during a period of profound personal transformation marked by loss, growth, and the inexorable forward movement of time. The music represents an attempt to find coherence in change, and expresses a deep gratitude for what is, even when we cannot control it.

Musically, the album is built on guitar and vocals, creating space for something more immediate than Troels' previous electronic work. Where the EXEC album The Limber Real worked rigorously with piano and voice, different expressions flow together on 1000 Billeder i Sekundet. This is Abrahamsen's first album with exclusively Danish-language lyrics.

"In Danish lyrics I've found a voice that feels less affected and more direct," Troels explains. "It's not about having all the answers or a clear narrative about me and my life. It's about taking it all in, the good, the difficult, the wild, and just being present in it."
